Actress Gabrielle Union spent some fitness time yesterday with Mara Brock Akil, the producer/director of the upcoming BET show "Single Black Female" she's shooting the pilot for soon.

Two of our fave ladies! 41-year-old Mara Brock Akil, who writes/produces tv shows like "Girlfriends," "The Game" and the upcoming Sparkle movie, took some time away from her computer to get in a workout with her actress friend, 39-year-old Gabby Union, in Studio City, CA yesterday. The in-shape twosome laughed it up in the parking lot after getting in a hike.
Gabby tweeted today: "Yesterday did a 2hr hike, today is a park workout...u don't need a fancy expensive gym to keep it tight...let's GO folks!"
A makeup free Gabby rocked her UnderArmour workout gear and still kept it cute.
Gabby's Good Deeds movie came in #2 at the box office during it's opening week last month. And her next film Think Like A Man premieres April 20th.
Ms. Union also spent the weekend in Austin at SXSW to premiere her new independent film In Our Nature, where she plays the new girlfriend of a single father as they go on a complicated journey in their interracial relationship. Check out the trailer below:
